Flashcards for ChatGPT.

Flash is a spaced-repetition flashcard app ChatGPT can drive. Connect it once, then start your message with @Flash: ChatGPT writes cards from whatever you're learning, quizzes you card by card (typed, or out loud in ChatGPT's voice mode), grades you strictly, and Flash schedules the next review with FSRS.

Make the cards
Paste a chapter, lecture notes, a vocabulary list, or just describe the topic. ChatGPT turns it into a deck of clean question-and-answer cards in Flash.

Quiz you card by card
Say “@Flash let's study cardiology.” ChatGPT asks each due card, checks your answer (typed, dictated, or spoken in voice mode), and tells you whether you got it: strict on numbers, doses, and names.

Grade and schedule
Every answer is rated Again, Hard, Good, or Easy and handed to FSRS, so you see each card again right before you'd forget it. Nothing to configure.

Add Flash to ChatGPT
  1. Open Flash in ChatGPT's plugin directory, or open Plugins in the ChatGPT sidebar and search for Flash.
  2. Press Install plugin.
  3. Sign in to Flash when it asks.
  4. Start your message with @Flash, for example @Flash make flashcards on the cell cycle.
No address to paste. Works on the web and in the desktop and phone apps.

Why not just ask ChatGPT to quiz me?

You can, and ChatGPT will even save the set and remind you to practise it. What it won't do is decide when each card comes back: the whole set returns together, the cards you know as often as the ones you keep missing. Flash gives every card its own schedule: every card, every answer, and every review date lives in your account, synced across devices, exportable to Anki or CSV whenever you like.
