Flashcards for Gemini.

Flash is a spaced-repetition flashcard app that Gemini can drive. Add it once as a custom app, then just ask: Gemini writes cards from whatever you're learning, quizzes you card by card in the chat, and Flash schedules the next review with FSRS.

As of October 11, 2026, Flash's card panel doesn't appear in Gemini. Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, and Mistral open the panel in the chat; Gemini doesn't load it, so your study sessions there are text only. Everything else works: making cards, studying card by card, grading, and scheduling.

What Gemini can do once it's connected

01
Make the cards
Paste a chapter, lecture notes, a vocabulary list, or just describe the topic. Gemini turns it into a deck of clean question-and-answer cards in Flash.
02
Quiz you in the chat
Say “@Flash quiz me on cardiology.” Gemini asks each due card, you answer, and it tells you whether you got it.
03
Grade and schedule
Every answer is rated Again, Hard, Good, or Easy and handed to FSRS, so you see each card again right before you'd forget it. Nothing to configure.

Set up in about a minute

Add Flash to Gemini
  1. On a computer, go to gemini.google.com/apps.
  2. Under Custom apps, paste this address and press Next, then Next again.
    https://flashmemorize.com/mcp
  3. Read Google's notice, scroll to the end, and press Connect.
  4. Sign in to Flash when it asks and press Approve, then press Connect to save the app.
  5. In a chat, start with @Flash: “@Flash what's due today?”
Gemini's custom apps need a personal Google account in the US, age 18 or over, with Gemini in English. You add the app on the web; after that it works in the Gemini app on your phone too. Gemini asks before each change Flash makes, so you'll press Allow as you grade.
Connecting something else?
The connect page has the steps for every option: Claude, ChatGPT, Grok, Mistral, Gemini, and Claude Code.

Why not just ask Gemini to quiz me?

You can, and it works. For one session. Then the chat scrolls away and everything you drilled goes with it. Flash gives Gemini a memory: every card, every answer, and every review date lives in your account, synced across devices, exportable to Anki or CSV whenever you like. Tomorrow, or next month, Gemini picks up exactly where you left off and asks only what's due.
